IT Carlow Staff - Esther Brett


I graduated from UCD in 1979 with a B.A. in Economics, Mathematics and History. In 1980, I completed the Higher Diploma in Education. I graduated from WIT in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computing, under the ACCS program. I hold MSc modules in Signals and Systems Theory, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems, Applied Databases and Computer Vision, from DCU.

Previous employers include, UCD (Extra Mural Studies) , ANCO, The IPA, The Institute of Bankers, Smurfit de La Rue(Foreign Paper Currency Section), Infoser Information Services and The Kilkenny Standard, where I worked as a newspaper reporter.

Teaching Areas

Since starting with IT Carlow in 1982, I have lectured in Mathematics and Information Technology, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, Economics, Computer practicals, Analysis and Design of Information systems and Business Systems. I currently lecture in Information Technology, Mathematics and Statistics Applications. I participate in Internet projects and conferences.
