Background
After taking a B.E. at UCD, worked in England for several years in
the machine tool industry. Returned to Ireland in 1972 and started teaching in the Engineering department. While there took the M.I.
E. degree at UCD. Migrated to Science in 1979 to help set up the new
computer system and Certificate in Computing course.
Has since been involved in installation and commissioning and
development of the VM system, the College LAN and the College's RTCNet/Internet connection.
Active since its inception on the College's Academic Council.

Research and Technical Interests
Networks. Email, WWW. Currently acting webmaster, with a mission to
integrate WWW into the college, and through WWW integrate the College into the Internet.
