Powerscourt

Powerscourt is owned by the Powerscourt Trust and has been welcoming visitors for more than 50 years. Powerscourt is a magnificent example of an aristocratic garden laid out with taste and imagination. The breathtaking location nestling under the Great Sugar Loaf, the beauty of its Italian and Japanese Gardens, the splendid statuary and the incomparable iron work make it a fairytale demesne.

Powerscourt is North Wicklow's best known tourist attraction, winner of the Irish Tourist Board's "Heritage property of the year" 1989, 47 acres of gardens, location for films such as "Far and Away", "Excaliber" and "Henry V", Powerscourt Waterfall(the highest in Ireland) and excellent facilities to cater for tourists needs.

During the high season the restaurant, souvenir shop, boutique and armoury are open. The garden centre, house-plant shop and waterfall are open all year. Powerscourt is on the outskirts of the village of Enniskerry, 20 km ( 13 miles) from Dublin.
